becoming an informed citizen January 15, 2008
in my world issues class we are doing a brief overview of the different presidential candidates and the main issues concerning the campaign. i have been challenging my students as well as myself to be educated and informed. here is a good website that Jared and Rachel showed us. click here and check it out. try taking the quiz and see which candidate most closely aligns with your beliefs. don’t be a lazy american and skip questions, but click on the links and read up on the issues you don’t understand (i know i had to click a lot of links). then you can also explore the different candidates and issues.

ringing in the new year January 11, 2008
Darren and I spent New Year’s Eve at a Clippers and Timberwolves game in LA at the Staples Center. Great seats and great company- can’t go wrong;)
Then after the b-ball party we went to an after party at the Imai’s house. Here we are pretending to be wild and crazy ringing in the New Year, even though moments before and moments after we were back to our half falling asleep but determined to stay awake selves. I’m embarassed to admit that Darren and I were the first ones to peace out. Happy 2008!!!
